In 2024, the 20 years Delaware Healthy Screensan initiative of the General Directorate of Public Health of the Department of Health of the Government of Aragon that began in the 2003-2004 academic year, within the framework of the Program Cinema and Health. In these 20 years, the program has reached more than 118,000 students. Throughout all these years, various materials have been prepared with the aim of offering them to educational centers in Aragon at the beginning of each school year.
The program aims to: address the phenomenology of screens and new technologies from the point of view of health promotion, to encourage appropriate use of ICT and prevent possible health risks from misuse of screens.
In addition, a Conference is held annually, which this year has reached its 20th edition with the title «Humanism in digital coexistence.»
Jaime Funes – educator, psychologist, writer, journalist and author of the book “Humanism in digital times” – was the inaugural speaker at the Conference, and after participating in it, he responded in a video to questions such as: What is digital humanism? What is the main challenge of health education in the online context? What recommendations would you make to the educational community for a healthy and safe environment, so that it is also humanizing?
