En 2023, la Confederación celebró su 40 aniversario, uno de los hitos más importantes del año, y lo hizo poniendo en marcha diversas actividades, entre las que destaca el XXII Congreso SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA. La Confederación presentó además los informes 'La situación de la salud mental en España', elaborado junto con la Fundación Mutua Madrileña, y 'Tratamientos e ingresos involuntarios en salud mental', desarrollado en colaboración con el Instituto de Derechos Humanos Gregorio Peces-Barba de la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. También tuvo lugar el desarrollo del Proyecto IMPULSO en el marco de la convocatoria para el apoyo a la modernización de las entidades del Tercer Sector publicada por el Ministerio de Derechos Sociales y Agenda 2030 con financiación de la Unión Europea – NextGenerationEU, a través del Plan de Recuperación, Transformación y Resiliencia del Gobierno de España.
Asimismo, 2023 fue un año de elecciones a la presidencia de SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA. La Confederación llevó a cabo además numerosos proyectos e iniciativas para mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas con problemas de salud mental, y de sus familias y entorno. La entidad reivindicó, a través de su participación en foros y encuentros de toda índole, a nivel estatal y europeo, la promoción de la salud mental y mayor dotación de recursos para la prevención y la atención, desde una perspectiva integral y comunitaria.
Como cada año, SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA desarrolló numerosas campañas de sensibilización con motivo de los diferentes días mundiales, con el objetivo de derribar los estigmas de los problemas de salud mental. Por otra parte, la Confederación realizó numerosas formaciones, talleres y jornadas de distintas temáticas.
El pasado año, la Confederación continuó desarrollando formaciones, asambleas y encuentros programados por los grupos de trabajo de la Confederación, como son las reuniones de Junta Directiva y Comisión de Gerencias, el Comité Pro Salud Mental en Primera Persona, la Red Estatal de Mujeres SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA, y la Comisión de Derechos Humanos.
Además, se ha continuado con las acciones de soporte y asesoramiento a entidades del movimiento asociativo.

These were the milestones of MENTAL HEALTH SPAIN in 2023
For the Confederation, the year 2023 has been full of activities and initiatives, among which the celebration of the 40th anniversary of SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA stands out.
In 2023, the Confederation celebrated its 40th anniversary, one of the most important milestones of the year, and it did so by launching various activities, among which the XXII MENTAL HEALTH SPAIN Congress stands out. The Confederation also presented the reports ‘The situation of mental health in Spain’prepared together with the Mutua Madrileña Foundation, and’Treatments and involuntary admissions in mental health‘, developed in collaboration with the Gregorio Peces-Barba Human Rights Institute of the Carlos III University of Madrid. Likewise, 2023 was a year of presidential elections of MENTAL HEALTH SPAIN. The Confederation also carried out numerous projects and initiatives to Improve Life Quality of people with mental health problems, and their families and environment. The entity claimed, through its participation in forums and meetings of all kinds, at the state and European level, the promotion of mental health and greater provision of resources for prevention and care, from a comprehensive and community perspective.
Like every year, SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA developed numerous awareness campaigns on the occasion of different world days, with the aim of breaking down the stigmas of mental health problems. On the other hand, the Confederation carried out numerous trainings, workshops and conferences of different themes.
Last year, the Confederation continued to strengthen training, assemblies and meetings scheduled by the Confederation’s working groups, such as the meetings of Board of Directors and Management Commissionhe Mental Health Committee in First Personthe State Network of Women MENTAL HEALTH SPAINand the Human rights commission.
