The manifestations that are currently recognized as sexual violence are: sexual harassment, sexual assaults, female genital mutilation, trafficking for sexual exploitation, forced marriages and the violation of sexual and reproductive rights, along with those . behaviors linked to the objectification of women’s bodies

According to the UN, 243 million women have experienced situations of physical or sexual violence by their partner in 2020

The fight against sexual violence requires a comprehensive and multidisciplinary perspective; It is necessary to act from all areas (social, institutional, political, judicial, police, health, educational, labor, etc.), to eliminate it.

At the institutional level, significant efforts have been made to address gender-based violence, promote gender equality, prevent violence and provide support to victims.

The Women’s Institute of Aragon has prepared a Guide for professionals for the prevention of Sexual Violence in Aragón.
