We know that Suicidal behaviors are a complex reality, but also preventable if we act in time and with the right tools. From our Federation, we firmly defend a clear position: Suicide is prevented through closeness, listening, the end of stigma, mutual support and community intervention.

Our health system represents one of the priority lines of intervention when it comes to intervening and detecting possible risk factors, warning signs and precipitating factors. With this firm conviction, we have implemented a new edition of the «Basic Course on Suicide Prevention in the Community from Primary Health Care«. A training action of 40 hours in online mode that took place between April 13 and May 31, 2026 through our Virtual Campus.

This project, which already adds three successful editionsand nearly 500 people participating, it would not be possible without the joint and coordinated work with the Ministry of Health (Regional Health Management, Primary Care Service and Continuity of Care). Financed by charging the funds for the Strategies of the Ministry of Health in support of the Primary and Community Care Action PlanThis course demonstrates the fruits of public-Third Sector collaboration when the common objective is protect the emotional well-being of the citizens of Castilla y León.
