- Adaptability and flexibility
- Resilience in the face of adversity
- Responsibility and commitment to treatments and routines.
- Self-knowledge and self-care
- Daily organization and planning
- Ability to ask for help and network
The guide offers practical tools to transfer these skills to your resume, cover letter or job interviews, as well as guidelines to address frequently asked questions such as periods without employment, always with respect and the personal decision to tell what each person considers appropriate.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=»»]

The launch has been double. The video has been presented along with the guide: “Looking for a job after a mental health problem is not about starting from scratch, but about continuing with everything you have learned.”

‘Looking for a job after a mental health problem is not starting from scratch’, the clear message from FEAFES Almendralejo
FEAFES Salud Mental Almendralejo y Comarca launches an employment guide for people with mental health problems and an awareness video. The material will be available on YouTube, its website and the entity’s social networks, with the aim of guiding and valuing the skills acquired during the recovery process after a leave due to a mental health problem.
It’s not starting from scratch
The publication is aimed mainly at people with mental health problems, as well as professionals who work accompanying job placement itineraries.
When a mental health problem arises, many people are forced to pause their work lives. This break is usually experienced as a loss or as a gap in the resume. However, the guide breaks with that idea: It is not about starting from scratch, but about continuing with everything learned.
During the recovery process, highly valued skills in the workplace are developed, such as:
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Resilience in the face of adversity
- Responsibility and commitment to treatments and routines.
- Self-knowledge and self-care
- Daily organization and planning
- Ability to ask for help and network
The guide offers practical tools to transfer these skills to your resume, cover letter or job interviews, as well as guidelines to address frequently asked questions such as periods without employment, always with respect and the personal decision to tell what each person considers appropriate.
