THE MENTAL HEALTH OF POPULATIONS IN CONTEXT OF CONFLICT. THE INVISIBLE IMPACT

REPORT ON THE IMPACT ON THE MENTAL HEALTH OF POPULATIONS SUFFERING FROM WAR CONFLICTS.

This document analyzes the impact that wars, genocides, armed conflicts and contexts of violence have on the mental health of people who suffer these situations. The report includes information on traumatic experiences and related mental disorders and psychosocial suffering also in situations of displacement and refuge, the role of the media in the globalization of trauma, on intergenerational trauma and, finally, the existing limitations in the research of this social determinant in people’s mental health.
