[post_content] => [vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_single_image image="142879" img_size="full" css=""][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_column_text css=""]La Federación Salud Mental Canarias ha sido reconocida con el Premio de Excelencia a la Transparencia Digital en Canarias, otorgado por el Comisionado de Transparencia y Acceso a la Información Pública, en el marco del décimo aniversario de esta institución. Este reconocimiento sitúa a la Federación entre las entidades con mayor nivel de cumplimiento y buenas prácticas en transparencia de toda la Comunidad Autónoma.
El galardón destaca el compromiso de la Federación con una gestión abierta, responsable y accesible, reforzando su papel como entidad social que administra fondos públicos y desarrolla proyectos esenciales para la garantía de derechos, la inclusión social y la mejora de la salud mental en el Archipiélago. Además, dos entidades miembro del movimiento asociativo también han sido premiadas por su excelencia en transparencia: AFES Salud Mental y Salud Mental ATELSAM. Ambas entidades figuran entre las organizaciones con mejor puntuación en el Índice de Transparencia de Canarias (ITCanarias), en reconocimiento a su rigor, accesibilidad y actualización de información pública en los portales digitales correspondientes.
Para la Federación y sus asociaciones, la transparencia no es únicamente un requisito legal, sino un pilar fundamental de ética pública, especialmente en entidades que reciben financiación destinada a garantizar servicios y apoyos esenciales para personas con problemas de salud mental y sus familias.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=""]La presidenta de la Federación, Cristina Acosta Rivero, destacó durante el acto que “la transparencia es una herramienta de justicia social. La ciudadanía tiene derecho a saber cómo trabajamos, y nosotras tenemos la responsabilidad de demostrar que cada recurso se utiliza con rigor, coherencia y compromiso con los derechos humanos.”
Este premio llega en un momento clave para el movimiento asociativo de salud mental en Canarias, inmerso en procesos de coordinación, participación y reivindicación para avanzar hacia un modelo sociosanitario más justo, equitativo y centrado en derechos. El reconocimiento del Comisionado de Transparencia refuerza la legitimidad social e institucional del movimiento, posicionando a la Federación, como referentes autonómicos en gestión responsable en el tercer sector.
La Federación Salud Mental Canarias agradece a la Comisionada de Transparencia y a su equipo por este reconocimiento, y felicita a AFES Salud Mental y Salud Mental ATELSAM por su trabajo continuo en favor de una transparencia ejemplar. Canary Mental Health, AFES and ATELSAM, recognized with the 2025 Digital Transparency Award
The award, granted by the Commissioner for Transparency and Access to Public Information, highlights the commitment of the Federation and the awarded entities to open, responsible and accessible management.
The Canary Islands Mental Health Federation has been recognized with the Award of Excellence for Digital Transparency in the Canary Islandsgranted by the Commissioner of Transparency and Access to Public Information, within the framework of the tenth anniversary of this institution. This recognition places the Federation among the entities with the highest level of compliance and good practices in transparency in the entire Autonomous Community.
The award highlights the Federation’s commitment to open, responsible and accessible managementreinforcing its role as a social entity that manages public funds and develops essential projects to guarantee rights, social inclusion and improve mental health in the Archipelago. Besides, Two member entities of the associative movement have also been awarded for their excellence in transparency: AFES Mental Health and Mental Health ATELSAM. Both entities are among the organizations with the best scores in the Canary Islands Transparency Index (ITCanarias), in recognition of their rigor, accessibility and updating of public information on the corresponding digital portals.
For the Federation and its associations, transparency is not only a legal requirement, but a fundamental pillar of public ethics, especially in entities that receive funding intended to guarantee essential services and supports for people with mental health problems and their families.
The president of the Federation, Cristina Acosta Rivero, highlighted during the event that “Transparency is a tool of social justice. “Citizens have the right to know how we work, and we have the responsibility to demonstrate that each resource is used with rigor, consistency and commitment to human rights.”
This award comes at a key moment for the mental health associative movement in the Canary Islands, immersed in processes of coordination, participation and demands to move forward. towards a more fair, equitable and rights-centered social-health model. The recognition of the Transparency Commissioner reinforces the social and institutional legitimacy of the movement, positioning the Federation as regional leaders in responsible management in the third sector.
The Canary Islands Mental Health Federation thanks the Transparency Commission and its team for this recognition, and congratulates AFES Salud Mental and Salud Mental ATELSAM for their continuous work in favor of exemplary transparency.
