El CERMI reconoce a Ignacio Fernández Allende por su compromiso con la discapacidad

    [post_content] => [vc_row][vc_column width="2/3"][vc_column_text css=""]El pasado sábado 13 de diciembre, Ignacio Fernández Allende, presidente de la Asociación Cántabra Pro Salud Mental (ASCASAM), vicesecretario de la Confederación SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA y expresidente del CERMI Cantabria, fue distinguido por el Comité Español de Representantes de Personas con Discapacidad (CERMI) como 'Amigo de las Personas con Discapacidad-Ciudadano CERMI', por su amplia e intensa trayectoria humana y social al servicio del movimiento de la discapacidad en España.

El reconocimiento fue entregado en un acto, en la sede de la Confederación SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA, ubicada en el madrileño barrio de Puente de Vallecas, coincidiendo con la reunión que celebraba su Junta Directiva, de la que Ignacio Fernández Allende forma parte como vicesecretario, en representación de su tierra, Cantabria.

El presidente del CERMI Estatal, Luis Cayo Pérez Bueno, encargado de entregar el reconocimiento, justificó su concesión como expresión de gratitud de todo el movimiento social de la discapacidad organizada, por una militancia cívica comprometida y sostenida que ha ido desde la salud mental al activismo global de la discapacidad, que ha arrojado frutos visibles para la inclusión, los derechos y el bienestar.

Ignacio Fernández Allende se curtió en el asociacionismo de la salud mental —señaló Cayo Pérez Bueno—, siempre desde una visión exigente de derechos humanos, para ampliarlo a toda la discapacidad, a la que ha aportado determinación y vigor en la defensa de la plena participación de las personas con discapacidad y sus familias.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/3"][vc_single_image image="142549" img_size="full" add_caption="yes" style="vc_box_shadow" onclick="link_image" css=""][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_single_image image="142552" img_size="full" add_caption="yes" onclick="link_image" css=""][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_column_text css=""]Nel González Zapico, presidente de la Confederación SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA, acompañado del presidente honorífico de la Confederación, José María Sánchez Monge, destacó de Fernández Allende, jurista de profesión, su “conocimiento extensísimo, tanto legislativo como del movimiento asociativo, así como tu integridad, cercanía y afabilidad, que tanto te caracteriza”, expresó. El aporte de su figura ha sido clave en el desarrollo del marco ético de la Confederación y en el despliegue de la estrategia de defensa de derechos. “Gracias por tu contribución valiosísima, tanto en la Comisión de Adecuación Ética como en la Comisión de Defensa de Derechos Humanos, sin olvidar cómo el papel importantísimo como presidente del CERMI Cantabria ha contribuido, de manera generosa, al movimiento de la discapacidad, situando a la discapacidad psicosocial en un papel protagonista” añadió González.

Irene Muñoz Escandell, asesora jurídica y coordinadora de la Comisión de Defensa de Derechos Humanos de SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA, destacó la impronta que deja Ignacio Fernández en su entorno: “Estamos rodeados de luces artificiales que no alumbran la realidad. La realidad auténtica está alumbrada por vidas trascendentes, que dejan una profunda huella por donde transcurren. Vidas como la tuya, que construyen y abren camino hacia una sociedad más justa”.

Celeste Mariner Zambrana y Marta García Rubio, directora ejecutiva y técnica de Investigación y Proyectos de la Confederación SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA, respectivamente, dedicaron al homenajeado una conmovedora oda cargada de amor y gratitud hacia su persona:[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_column_text css=""]
Canta un señor de Cantabria, en tierras donde el norte guarda su verde intenso y su mar valiente, camina un señor de Cantabria con la calma sabia de la gente fuerte. Le hablan los montes cuando amanece, le canta el viento sobre los prados y él responde con pasos tranquilos, con historias que el tiempo ha atesorado. 

Conoce el rugido azul del Cantábrico, la niebla que abraza los caminos, la lluvia que cae como un viejo amigo que nunca olvida a los suyos. Tiene la mirada franca, como las olas cuando rompen, sinceras, y un corazón que late al ritmo de romerías, de hogueras, de mareas. Señor de tierra noble y firme, de manos hechas para el trabajo bueno, lleva en su voz el eco del norte, y en su alma, un pedazo de cielo. 

A usted, señor del norte, le dejo estos sinceros versos para que le acompañen como una manta suave en los días buenos y en los menos buenos. Que nunca le falte la calma del mar, ni la luz tímida del amanecer, ni el amor de quienes lo rodean y agradecen, sin decirlo siempre, la nobleza de su ser.

En realidad, y creo que hablo en nombre de todos y todas, este es un premio a la ejemplaridad”. Basilio García Copín, presidente de la Asociación Salud Mental Ceuta (ACEFEP) y vicepresidente de la Confederación SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA, puso el broche de oro al espacio de reconocimiento, repasando con extraordinaria singularidad algunos de los hitos de la trayectoria vital de Ignacio Fernández, en pro de los derechos humanos. “En esta sociedad distante, representas lo mejor del humanismo”, puntualizó.

Un emocionado Fernández Allende recogió la distinción y agradeció las cálidas palabras de sus acompañantes de viaje, en este trayecto que es la lucha por la dignidad, la igualdad y la justicia. “Intentaré estar aquí mucho más tiempo”, deseó.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_single_image image="142553" img_size="full" add_caption="yes" onclick="link_image" css=""][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_column_text css=""]
Última sesión del año de la Junta Directiva
Durante la mañana, la Junta Directiva de SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA repasó los acuerdos alcanzados en las reuniones de la Comisión Permanente e hizo seguimiento de los proyectos y las actividades desarrolladas por la Confederación a nivel estatal, a través de las 5 líneas estratégicas. Además, se compartieron informaciones derivadas de los trabajos realizados por los Comités y Comisiones de la Confederación (el Comité Pro Salud Mental En Primera Persona, la Red Estatal de Mujeres, la Comisión de Defensa de Derechos Humanos, la Comisión Gerencias y Coordinaciones Técnicas, la Comisión Adecuación Ética y el Grupo de Apoyo Mutuo).

 
Sobre Ignacio Fernández Allende
Estrechamente comprometido con el movimiento de la discapacidad, Ignacio Fernández Allende cuenta con una amplia trayectoria de lucha dentro del mundo asociativo. Es miembro de la Junta Directiva de ASCASAM desde junio de 2012 y presidente de la Asociación desde junio de 2015, misma fecha desde en la que pasa a formar parte de la Junta Directiva de la CONFEDERACIÓN SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA.

Desde febrero de 2020 hasta julio de 2023, Fernández Allende fue el presidente del Comité de Entidades Representantes de Personas con Discapacidad de Cantabria (CERMI Cantabria), fue patrono de la Fundación de Apoyos de Cantabria, es patrono de la Fundación Caja Cantabria y miembro del Consejo Económico y Social y del Consejo Autonómico de la Discapacidad.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=""]Una persona reconocida dentro del asociacionismo, y muy querida por las personas que tienen y han tenido la suerte de trabajar a su lado por los derechos de las personas con discapacidad psicosocial.

CERMI recognizes Ignacio Fernández Allende for a lifetime of commitment to disability

The president of the State CERMI, Luis Cayo Pérez Bueno, named him ‘Friend of People with Disabilities-CERMI Citizen’ in an emotional event, in which the Board of Directors and the technical team of the MENTAL HEALTH SPAIN Confederation also wanted to praise his contribution to the defense of the rights of people with psychosocial disabilities.

Last Saturday, December 13, Ignacio Fernández Allende.president of the Cantabrian Association for Mental Health (ASCASAM)), vice-secretary of the SPAIN MENTAL HEALTH Confederation and former president of the CERMICantabriawas distinguished by Spanish Committee of Representatives of People with Disabilities (CERMI) as ‘Friend of People with Disabilities-CERMI Citizen’for his extensive and intense human and social career at the service of the disability movement in Spain.

The recognition was presented at an event at the headquarters of the SPANISH MENTAL HEALTH Confederation, located in the Madrid neighborhood of Puente de Vallecas, coinciding with the meeting celebrating its Board of Directorsof which Ignacio Fernández Allende is a part as deputy secretary, representing his land, Cantabria.

The president of the State CERMI, Luis Cayo Pérez Well, responsible for delivering the recognition, justified its granting as an expression of gratitude from the entire organized disability social movement, for a committed and sustained civic militancy which has ranged from mental health to global disability activism, which has yielded visible fruits for inclusion, rights and well-being.

Ignacio Fernández Allende cut his teeth in mental health associations, said Cayo Pérez Bueno, always from a demanding vision of human rightsto extend it to all disabilities, to which it has brought determination and vigor in defending the full participation of people with disabilities and their families.

Nel González Zapicopresident of the CONfederation SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA, accompanied by the honorary president of the Confederation, José María Sánchez MongeHe highlighted Fernández Allende, a jurist by profession, for his “very extensive knowledge, both legislative and of the associative movement, as well as your integrity, closeness and affabilitythat characterizes you so much», he expressed. The contribution of his figure has been key in the development of the ethical framework of the Confederation and in the deployment of the rights defense strategy. «Thank you for your invaluable contribution, both in the Ethical Adequacy Commission as in the Commission for the Defense of Human Rightswithout forgetting how the very important role as president of the CERMICantabria has contributed, generously, to the disability movement, placing psychosocial disability in a leading role,” González added.

Irene Muñoz Escandelllegal advisor and coordinator of the Commission for the Defense of Human Rights of MENTAL HEALTH SPAINHe highlighted the mark that Ignacio Fernández leaves on his surroundings: «We are surrounded by artificial lights that do not illuminate reality. Authentic reality is illuminated by transcendent lives, which leave a deep mark wherever they go. Lives like yours, that build and pave the way towards a more just society”.

Celeste Mariner Zambrana and Marta García Rubioexecutive director and technician of Research and Projects of the CONfederation SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA, respectively, dedicated a moving ode to the honoree full of love and gratitude towards him:

A man from Cantabria sings, in lands where the north keeps its intense green and its brave sea, a man from Cantabria walks with the wise calm of strong people. The mountains speak to him when it dawns, the wind sings to him over the meadows and he responds with calm steps, with stories that time has treasured.

Get to know the blue roar of the Cantabrian Sea, the fog that embraces the roads, the rain that falls like an old friend who never forgets his loved ones. He has a frank look, like the waves when they break, sincere, and a heart that slows to the rhythm of pilgrimages, bonfires, tides. Lord of noble and firm land, with hands made for good work, he carries in his voice the echo of the north, and in his soul, a piece of heaven.

To you, Lord of the North, I leave these sincere verses to accompany you like a soft blanket on good days and on less good ones. May you never lack the calm of the sea, nor the timid light of dawn, nor the love of those around you who are grateful, without always saying it, for the nobility of your being.

«Now, people with disabilities have a new godfather. In reality, and I think I speak on behalf of everyone, this is an award for exemplary character.» Basilio García Copínpresident of the Ceuta Mental Health Association (ACEFEP) and vice president of the SPAIN MENTAL HEALTH Confederation, put the finishing touch to the recognition space, reviewing with extraordinary singularity some of the milestones in the life trajectory of Ignacio Fernández, in favor of human rights. “In this distant society, it represents the best of humanism”he pointed out.

An emotional Fernández Allende recognized the distinction and thanked the warm words of his travel companions, on this journey that is the fight for dignity, equality and justice. “I will try to be here much longer,” he wished.

Last session of the year of the Board of Directors

During the morning, the Board of Directors of SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA reviewed the agreements reached in the meetings of the Permanent Commission and monitored the projects and activities developed by the Confederation at the state level, through the 5 strategic lines. In addition, information derived from the work carried out by the Committees and Commissions of the Confederation (the First Person Mental Health Committee, the State Women’s Network, the Human Rights Defense Commission, the Management and Technical Coordination Commission, the Ethical Adequacy Commission and the Mutual Support Group) were shared.

About Ignacio Fernández Allende

Closely committed to the disability movement, Ignacio Fernández Allende has an extensive history of struggle within the associative world. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of ASCASAM since June 2012 and president of the Association since June 2015, the same date since he became part of the Board of Directors of the CONFEDERACIÓN SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA.

From February 2020 to July 2023, Fernández Allende was the president of the Committee of Entities Representatives of People with Disabilities of Cantabria (CERMI Cantabria), he was a patron of the Cantabria Support Foundation, He is a trustee of the Caja Cantabria Foundation and a member of the Economic and Social Council and the Autonomous Disability Council.
