The third block of the cycle of reflection on climate change and health comes to a close, and on this occasion we will try to reflect on how climate change aggravates the inequalities in the European countryside.
We find ourselves at the intersection of three realities: the inequalities suffered by migrants, an unsustainable agricultural system and the impact of climate change. The incessant demand for fruits and vegetables in territories such as Huelva, Almería and Lleida falls on workers and the environment, deepening the cracks of inequality and having a direct impact on health.
Through the experiences of Seydou Diopp we will know the complex realities experienced by migrant agricultural workers. Led by Anna Brugulat and Carlos Ruiz, we will address how economic and political structures allow these injustices to persist and what alternatives They can break through.
