PERCEPCIÓN DE LA DISCRIMINACIÓN POR ORIGEN RACIAL O ÉTNICO POR PARTE DE SUS POTENCIALES VÍCTIMAS EN 2024

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=""]Este estudio tiene como objetivo conocer la evolución en el tiempo de la percepción de la discriminación motivada por el origen racial o étnico experimentada por parte de las potenciales víctimas. Además, ha permitido detectar un incremento de las personas que se sienten discriminadas por su origen racial o étnico en España pasando del 31 al 33%. Han aumentado las personas que dicen sufrir discriminación por su color de piel o rasgos físicos (61%), mientras que disminuyen quienes lo padecen por sus costumbres o prácticas culturales (36%). Entre los motivos de discriminación también figura la situación económica (30%) y su sexo (27%). Ascienden las experiencias de discriminación motivadas por el sexo, la identidad de género y/o la orientación sexual. La vivienda es el ámbito en el que más personas señalan sentirse discriminadas (27,5%), seguida de los espacios públicos (22%) y el ámbito policial (20%). Además de todos estas consecuencias que también impactan en la salud mental, esta conducta aparece como un condicionante social de la salud mental, apareciendo esta en todo el documento, ya prácticamente la mitad (47%) de quienes sufren racismo en España padecen ansiedad, depresión, estrés, tristeza u otros trastornos psicológicos.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=""]Autoría: Dirección General para la Igualdad de Trato y No Discriminación y contra el Racismo de la Secretaría de Estado de Igualdad y para la Erradicación de la Violencia contra las Mujeres del Ministerio de Igualdad (dir. y coord.)

The impact of racism in Spain

Perception of discrimination due to racial or ethnic origin by its potential victims in 2024

This study as an objective to know the evolution in the time of the perception of discrimination motivated by racial or ethnic organizational experiment of the potential victims. In addition, it has allowed to detect an increase in people who feel discriminated against by their racial or ethnic origin in Spain by 31 to 33%. People who claim to suffer discrimination due to their skin color or physical features (61%), while those who suffer from their customs or cultural practices (36%) have suffered. The reasons for discrimination also include the economic situation (30%) and their sex (27%). It ascends the experiences of discriminacy motivated by sex, gender identity and/or sexual orientation. Housing is the scope in which more people are discriminated against Sentse (27.5%), followed by public spaces (22%) and police -mbito (20%). In addition to all these consequences that also impact mental health, this behavior appears as a social condition of mental health, appearing this document, already almost half (47%) of those who suffer racism in Spain suffer from anxiety, depression, stress, sadness or other psychological disorders.
