The Spanish Cystic Fibrosis Federation (FEFQ), on the occasion of the European Cystic Fibrosis Week (November 18-24), has launched an information campaign on different aspects related to the disease in order to improve the quality of life of people with cystic fibrosis and their families, through various educational infographics, which also aim to raise awareness in society about the difficult management of a chronic disease such as CF.

Within the framework of the European Cystic Fibrosis Weekthe FEFQ wanted to delve into some of these aspects, through some simple and educational infographics that will be published every day of the week on social networks, with the aim of serving as an education and information platform, both for the CF community and for the society in general.
The first infographic, which was shared today, talks about the importance of adherence to treatments to maintain good management of the diseasehighlighting the importance of following medical instructions and some practical advice on how to do it. Other infographics provide recommendations on healthy lifestyle habits and prevention of harmful behaviors that can aggravate the symptoms of the disease, as well as on the responsible use of medications and health products, where the health and legal implications of sharing are addressed. . or give away these types of products.
With the arrival of the CFTR modulating treatmentsAnother important topic to explore is the new challenges that arise for people with cystic fibrosis who are taking these medications and who have significantly improved their quality of lifediscovering new psychosocial challenges. Each infographic is designed to communicate clear and effective messages that can be very useful for people living with this disease, as well as for family members and professionals. This new series of infographics, which has the collaboration of Vertex Pharmaceuticals, expands the other eight already developed by the FEFQ in previous years and that explain basic aspects of the disease: what chemical fibrosis is, how it is inherited and detected, treatment, transplant, psychological aspects, social integration, school stage, and cross infections.
Both the material from this campaign and previous ones will be available on the FEFQ website, which strives to offer useful resources and relevant information that can be used by all chemical fibrosis associations in the national territory.
