Palmarés del XXII Certamen Cine y Salud

On April 13, a new gala of the Cinema and Health Contest was held in the Aragón room of the Patio de la Infanta of the Ibercaja Foundation, which on this occasion reached its XXII edition. The Competition is organized by the General Directorate of Public Health in collaboration with the General Directorate of Educational Policy, Academic Planning and Continuing Education and the General Directorate of Personnel, Training and Innovation.

Cinema and Health is a program of the Government of Aragon that has been developed since 2001, and that includes actions throughout the year, among which the following stand out: the short film creation course, from which the call for the short film contest is derived. . of health carried out in the classroom and that address health issues; work through a video guide that includes proposals for different health topics, and the celebration of World Health Day and the Film and Health Contest. In addition, a Health poster contest is held in educational centers, the winner of which is the image of the Cinema and Health program.

For this year’s edition, a total of 86 audiovisual works were registered, of which 62 were selected to participate in the online preview. Finally, 23 audiovisuals have been projected during the Contest gala, 18 of them selected from the «Aula Aragonesa» and «New Young People» Categories, produced by educational centers or entities that work with young people under 18 years of age. The other 5 short films projected belong to the “Assets for Health” Category, created by health services that carry out quality improvement initiatives and good social and health practices. In addition, the online exhibition has had more than 36,000 views.

The delivery ceremony was chaired by the Minister of Health, José Luis Bancalero, who thanked the participating educational, health and social centers, as well as the students, teachers and social and health professionals for their commitment and effort and the quality of their work. . . In addition, he highlighted the importance of this event as a way to highlight health promotion.

The Jury of the XXII Cinema and Health Contest has been made up of professionals from public health, healthcare, Aragonese health service, education, family, youth, mental health, environment, culture and cinema.
