En su fallo, el jurado del premio quiso reconocer la apuesta de AFESA por “un modelo comunitario de atención a las personas con problemas de salud mental, ofreciendo una serie de programas y actividades que tienen como objetivo facilitar la inclusión, rehabilitación y reincorporación del colectivo, fomentando su autonomía y ofreciendo apoyo a sus familias y allegados”. Por ello, AFESA Salud Mental Asturias recibirá 50.000 euros.
El presidente de AFESA Salud Mental Asturias, Daniel Pedro Rodríguez, agradeció este reconocimiento a la entidad en nombre de todas las personas asociadas, de las personas con experiencia propia en salud mental, familiares y personas allegadas, de las Juntas Directivas, del equipo profesional, voluntariado y de todas aquellas personas que hacen uso de los programas que pone en marcha la asociación. En nombre de todas ellas y “con mucho orgullo y humildad” se acogía un galardón que reconocía también una trayectoria de más de 30 años de trabajo en la defensa y promoción de los derechos de las personas con problemas de salud mental, sus familias y entorno. AFESA receives the ‘Ana Casanueva’ 2023 award
AFESA Salud Mental Asturias received, on Thursday, October 5, the ‘Ana Casanueva’ 2023 award, in a ceremony that took place in the Chapel of the Historical Building of the University of Oviedo.
The event was chaired by the rector of the University of Oviedo, Ignacio Villaverdeand was attended by Carlos Casanueva Varaspresident of Interprotection, Carlos Fernandez Colladopresident of ASICOM and, Alfredo Cantelimayor of Oviedo. Daniel Pedro RodríguezAs president of AFESA, he was in charge of collecting the award.
The ‘Ana Casanueva’ award aims to recognize the work of non-governmental organizations, private assistance institutions, foundations, civil associations and non-profit organizations that operate in the Principality of Asturias.
