Congreso de innovación social de Plena Inclusión

Barcelona will welcome today Thursday and Friday the 29th United Nations Congress about’The future of supports‘to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, organized by Full inclusion Spain and by Dincat (Full inclusion Catalonia).

Around 200 people will participate in this meeting, where experts from all over the country will debate new models of social innovation.

According to the technical coordinator of Plena inclusion Spain, Amalia San Roman«Social innovation must be linked to personalization and inclusion in the community.»

“The time has come to reinforce the commitment to search for more personalized opportunities tailored to the lifestyles of each person we support«, he stated, and «also to work from our organizations to allow a greater flow of collaboration with the neighborhoods and towns in which they live.»

In this Congress will participate Patricia Bezunarteageneral director of Family Diversity and Social Services of the Ministry of Social Rights; Marta Segurageneral director of Personal Autonomy and Disability of the Generalitat; Olga Saladeputy director of Assessment and Services of the Navarra Agency for the Autonomy and Development of People; and John HealyCEO of Genio, an expert organization in social climbing and promoter of the European Social Catalytic Fund.
