[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]El objetivo de este libro colectivo es contribuir a mejorar el conocimiento y la valoración de la actividad que realizan en España las entidades del tercer sector de acción social y la actividad de algunas entidades innovadoras del tercer sector de acción económica, al que se conoce también como economía social (cooperativas). Las entidades que integran estos sectores se caracterizan por los valores que orientan su actividad (ayuda mutua, ayuda a terceros que lo necesitan, defensa de derechos, no tener fines de lucro o ponerles límite) y por su forma de gobernanza (gestión democrática, participación de voluntarios, profesionalización de la actividad), características que se desarrollan con más detalle en los dos primeros capítulos.
